For the recreational walker there are numerous walking and hiking trails. Through the pine forests - just listen to the unmistakable and beautiful sound of silence broken only by the crunching of pinecones underfoot or woodpeckers drilling into a nearby tree or the odd gust of wind rustling through the treetops. Across marshlands, using cut log walkways, fells, moors and mountains. These walks are suitable for all abilities and ages, are all with an English speaking guide and can be booked individually or combined to create your own mini-safari.

	River Ramble (5-6 hours) Out towards the River Kitinen, a tranquil setting and ideal to enjoy a swim in the clear waters or a short boat trip (included in costing). Luosto to Pyha (6-7 hours) Walking only one way with a coach journey the other, you pass the small mountain range and Lake Pyha. There are plenty of small huts to stop and rest along the way. Cycling the scenic routes

There are numerous tracks and trails from which the entire family can enjoy more leisurely cycling trips surround Luosto. There is even a purpose built cycling track around almost circles the village, so you could even hire a bike for the duration of your stay and simply use as your local transport.
